Wellbeing & Adverse events coordinator –

Mid Canterbury Rural Support Trust

The Mid Canterbury Rural Support Trust helps to strengthen and support our Rural Community – driven by our core values which are confidentiality, integrity and support.

The new role of Wellbeing support and adverse events coordinator has evolved through the growth of the Trust, and an increase in demand for our resources and support.

We are looking for someone with the following core attributes:

  • Sound knowledge across all sectors and connections within the local Rural community.
  • Empathy with emphasis on confidentiality and reliability.
  • A willingness to support people experiencing adversity and significant life challenges in both personal and business environments.
  • Preferable experience in responding to adverse events.
  • Shared responsibility of managing the 0800 number response is a vital part of this role. The availability to be on call, excellent communication, record keeping and confidentiality is paramount.

This is a paid part-time position, requiring extra hours during an adverse event or response effort. Components of the role are a job share with the current Wellbeing coordinator which allows
flexibility. Ongoing training is offered and required for this role.
