The Ashburton Courier IN TRADE

Warehouse & Delivery Role - Ashburton

Cates, one of the first independent grain and seed companies in
Mid Canterbury, specialises in the production and marketing of clover, cereals, grasses, pulses and brassicas for both domestic and international markets. For over 50 years, we have taken pride in the strong partnerships we’ve built with our loyal base of local farming families.

We are looking to fill a position in our Ashburton Grain and Seed Warehouse.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, your duties will include:

  • On-farm deliveries
  • Customer service
  • Forklift operation
  • Seed mixing and treating
  • General warehouse tasks

Applicants must have a current full motor vehicle license. Dangerous goods endorsement would be an advantage but not essential. Knowledge of the grain and seed industry and a current forklift license would also be preferred, however full training will be given to the right applicant.

Applicants should be physically fit, have a positive attitude and an efficient approach to their work, and enjoy being part of a small, friendly team.

Applications, including a cover letter and current CV, close on Friday 28th February 2025 and can be sent to:

General Manager
Cates
P.O. Box 337
Ashburton 7740
