Due to expansion a rare opportunity has become available in our company for a site supervisor/foreman.

Reporting to the company 2IC you will be overseeing the day to day running of one of our alluvial gold mines 10 minutes north of Hokitika.

To fulfil this role you will:

• have a good understanding of mining compliance and health and safety
• be an experienced and capable machine operator in operating front end wheel loaders, articulated haulers and excavators
• have an A or B Grade Quarry managers CoC or an interest to obtain one
• have excellent communication and people skills and a good sense of humour
• be physically fit
• have excellent problem solving skills and a good sense of initiative
• be able to work in a team environment with staff and management
• have a good attitude and work ethic • are honest and reliable
• be able to pass an alcohol and drug test

Hours of work are 6am -5.30pm Monday - Thursday and 6am - 4pm on Fridays. On a case by case basis occasional weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.

Remuneration will reflect experience and capabilities.
