About Health Central:

Established in 2019 through the merger of three primary care practices in Alexandra, Health Central has rapidly advanced toward its vision of becoming a leading primary and allied healthcare provider in the region and one of the best in New Zealand. Over the last five years, we have successfully navigated challenges such as COVID-19, expanded our services to integrate physiotherapy, acquired and integrated a rural practice in Roxburgh, and moved into a new, state-of-the-art facility in Alexandra which now offers urgent care services seven days a week, from 8 am to 6 pm.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Independent Director and Board Chair to help guide Health Central through its next phase, focusing on consolidation and careful, strategic growth.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience in the healthcare sector
• Experience as a Director in SME businesses
• Strong financial acumen and strategic insight
• Highly developed skills in stakeholder and shareholder management

While we prefer candidates from the region, we welcome applications from individuals outside the area who possess the necessary skills and experience.
