This is an opportunity available now for someone to take their first steps into management or transfer from a similar role.

This is a very challenging but senior role within the site and will require drive and determination to ensure we continue to meet all our needs with a very high level of trust required.

Hours of work are Midnight Monday, through to 8.00am Saturday, 40 hours each week.

The Night shift supervisor is responsible for all Health and Safety, Quality, Production and staff requirements for the shift. If you are a good organizer and thrive on responsibility this could be the role for you.

This is a key position at the Godfrey Hirst Oamaru plant, having sole responsibility for ensuring safety, production, regulatory and customer requirements are met on the night shift.

The Night Shift Supervisor will champion, support or lead Company initiatives on this shift. This person will have impeccable honesty, an outstanding attendance record and the mental strength to deal with all shift issues that may occur. Full support is given but due to the hours of operation the Supervisor must be able to make decisions on the spot so excellent product and systems knowledge are also requirements.

Key aspects of the role will include:

• Ensuring safety requirements are being met
• Quality issues are identified and dealt with as they occur
• Dealing with staff welfare issues on shift
• Reporting any issues that may require further investigation or assistance.
• Assist in the investigation of customer complaints
• Reporting and eliminating non-conformances in process and/or product.
