WestReef Services Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our Parks and Reserves team. WestReef is a key provider of greenspace services in the Buller District, and this position would suit someone who enjoys working in the outdoors every day and is able to work solo productively for extended periods of time.

Our gardeners are responsible for hands-on gardening and open space maintenance, as well as some associated utilities maintenance tasks.

Your duties would include:

• Planting and maintenance of garden beds
• Regular pruning, weeding, weed control and tidying
• Mowing, turf maintenance, weed-eating, hedge trimming
• Rostered cleaning of toilet facilities and emptying of bins at parks and reserves

Horticulture, garden maintenance or turf management experience would be helpful for this role, as would any relevant qualifications, such as GrowSafe or horticulture/amenity industry qualifications. A Class 1 licence is essential. We are also open to hearing from anyone with experience in garden maintenance who is committed to undertaking a horticulture/amenity apprenticeship.
