The Mataura Licensing Trust (MLT) (the trust) is a community owned hospitality business that operates under the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. The trust's primary goals are to provide excellent hospitality venues and facilities and to support the well-being of our local community through philanthropic activities.

We seek an experienced, dedicated and skilled accountant with or without a complete degree (CA, CPA) that has a multi-faceted overview of the effective management of financial systems and its varying components of a multimillion-dollar operation situated in the heart of rural Southland. You will need to display strong analytical skills and a proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not exclusive to the following;

• Financial Management - Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting and legislative compliance.
• Accounts Oversight - Supervise accounts payable and receivable departments ensuring timely and accurate payment and invoices.
• Payroll Administration - Manage payroll processes ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with applicable employment legislation.
• Bank Reconciliation - Ensure thorough reconciliation all banking transaction accounts.
• Gaming Accounting - Coordinate responsibilities for The Trusts Community Foundation, (TTCF) and ensure the effective management of MLT gaming operations, compliance and administration.
• Team Leadership - Employ, supervise and support office staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
